Tuition & Affordability
Tuition Rates - 2026-2027 School Year
Tuition & Cost of Attendance
At Archbishop Ryan High School, we are committed to providing an exceptional Catholic education while keeping tuition as accessible and transparent as possible for our families. Through careful financial stewardship and the generous support of our alumni and community, we work each year to minimize costs while continuing to invest in our students’ experience.
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Archbishop Ryan has moved to a comprehensive tuition model, designed to simplify billing and expand access to all aspects of student life.

Comprehensive Annual Tuition
This single, all-inclusive tuition replaces the previous structure of separate tuition, school fees, and most additional activity costs. While the format has changed, the overall cost of attendance remains comparable to prior years.

What’s Included
Your tuition now covers nearly all aspects of the Archbishop Ryan experience, including:
- Academic programs and classroom resources
- Athletics fees
- Theater Arts fees
- Technology (including Chromebook use)
- Textbooks and instructional materials
- Admission to school events like plays and regular season home games
- Participation in clubs and extracurricular activities
- Locks & ID cards
- Yearbooks
This model ensures that all students have the opportunity to fully participate in school life without concern for additional fees.
What’s Not Included
A limited number of items remain outside of tuition:
- Registration/Re-registration fee
- Graduation fee
- Optional retreats (Kairos is heavily subsidized by the school)
- Optional expenses such as school dances and field trips
- Parking fee (if applicable)
- College-accredited course fees
Additional Programs
For families participating in the Bonaventure Program, there is an additional tuition cost of $2,000. This program supports students with diagnosed IEPs and has limited availability.
This revised tuition model reflects our ongoing commitment to clarity, fairness, and opportunity—ensuring that every student can take full advantage of the academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs that make Archbishop Ryan unique.
The cost to Ryan of educating a child is not fully covered by his or her tuition. Fortunately, we have a generous group of supporters that makes up that difference through fundraising and development. Because of the support we receive from our alumni and friends, Archbishop Ryan does not require students or families to participate in any mandatory fundraising activities. For more information on how you can help finance our future, please contact Ed Hughes, Director of Major Gifts/EITC.
Tuition Assistance, Awards, and Grants
Scholarships, Legacy Grants, and Presidential merit not only help you cover the costs of a Catholic education - they also acknowledge and reward your accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. Many factors can influence who receives scholarships. Keep in mind that some scholarships require a separate application. All applicants must complete the FACTS application in order to be considered for a merit-based scholarship regardless of need. For more details and a complete list of scholarships, click here.
Merit Based Scholarships
Archbishop Ryan is committed to making Catholic education financially possible for qualified students to pursue their studies. Each year, we award hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships as an investment in our students. These academic scholarships are awarded as a result of the Scholarship & Entrance Test which takes place in September or October of your 8th grade year. Each year, the profile of the scholarship recipients varies based on the successes of the applicant pool and scholarship amounts are tiered based on performance in the test, classroom grades, and school involvement. Unless otherwise noted, scholarships are awarded for four years. A FACTS application is required each year to be eligible for financial assistance (merit or need based). Apply now at www.arhs.me/FACTS.
Legacy Grants
Children of graduates of Archbishop Ryan High School are eligible for a grant of $2,000 ($500 per year enrolled). The grant totals $2,000 regardless of the number of relatives that are alumni. A FACTS application is required each year to be eligible to receive and maintain the grant. Apply now at www.arhs.me/FACTS
Third Party Scholarships
In addition to our grants and academic scholarships, many generous third-party organizations provide scholarships to students at Archbishop Ryan. Qualifications and deadlines vary depending on the awarding organization. A list of organizations that we routinely partner with can be found here. Questions regarding these scholarships should be directed to the awarding organization.
