Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC)

Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) is a program designed to let eligible businesses and individuals designate their tax dollars to support a scholarship or educational improvement organizations such as Archbishop Ryan. This is one of the few opportunities you have to direct your tax dollars to a specific destination. These donations are then put towards tuition assistance.

Simply put, EITC allows you to redirect your state tax dollars to Archbishop Ryan to help families with tuition assistance and to keep our school thriving. The program requires a minimum of $5,000. You are eligible if your business, or even you personally, pay $5,000 or more a year in income taxes to the State of Pennsylvania. In return, you receive a 90% tax credit for your 2-year commitment.

Example: You, through your business or personal income, will owe PA state tax liability of at least $5,000. You fill out the application, get approved and cut a check for $5,000! At tax time you receive an acknowledgment for the state that you have participated in this program. You get to do a great thing, help families who really value Catholic Education and want their kids to have that experience, and it essentially costs you nothing.

Many Ryan alums have enrolled in the program. Any questions reach out to:
