New Athletic Director at Ryan

Joseph Zeglinski - Class of 2006 - has been appointed as the Athletic Director at Archbishop Ryan High School.

Joe has been a fixture in Ryan Athletics since he walked through our doors in 2002, earning numerous All-Catholic honors in three sports: Football, Basketball and Track and Field. These successes earned retirement of his number in Football and Basketball.

His success continued at the University of Hartford, earning Bachelors Degrees in both Marketing and Finance. He was also achieved on the basketball court, earning three All-Conference awards and is currently the all-time 3 point leader in America East Conference History.

Joe was appointed Ryan Head Basketball coach in 2015, and that experience will be important for his new role as AD. In his words...

"I am very grateful and humbled to accept the Athletic Director Position at my alma-mater, Archbishop Ryan High School. I applied for this position because of my passion for our school, to positively impact the lives of all our student-athletes and give back to the community who has done so much for me.

As a student-athlete at Ryan, I built some of the best relationships that I have in my life and was able to use academic and athletics to go on to have a successful college and professional career. I have learned and I am continuing to learn what it takes to build a winning culture. As the head basketball coach for the last three years, I found my passion in helping our youth better themselves and we have developed a family environment founded on Christian Values.

As Athletic Director, I will bring a positive leadership into the school and our athletic programs every day. My goal, working with our coaches and administration, will be to bring a greater sense of community to our student-athletes and alumni. I am looking forward to working together with the leadership of our school and all of our athletic programs to continue and build on the great history of Archbishop Ryan Athletics."
