Archbishop Ryan High School
The Freshmen team is off to a hot start with a 2-0 record. They defeated Bishop Shanahan on Saturday, December 13 and Malvern on Monday, December 15.
The JV team had a great weekend winning both of their games against George Washington Friday, December 12 and Bishop Shanahan Saturday, December 13.
They followed that strong performance with a convincing win over Malvern Prep on Monday, December 15. The team was led by sophomore guard Chris Palantino, who added five 3 pointers.
This win helped the JV team improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Varsity team is also off to a 3-1 start. On Friday, December 13 the team lost a hard fought battle to a very talented George Washington team 52-51. Even in defeat, the team represented the school with pride and passion and demonstrated superior teamwork and effort.
The team was led by juniors Austin Chabot and Austin Slawter who added 18 points and 12 points, respectively.
On Saturday, the Varsity team defeated Bishop Shanahan 69-58 thanks to a big second half by junior Freddi Killian. Freddie added 10 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Izaiah Brockington contributed 22 points.
