Theology 2 (Period 8)

Course Description

 

In this course, we will investigate the scripture to help understand all that God has done for us through Jesus Christ.  We will concentrate of the story of our Redemption through the Pascal Mystery and explore ways to practice the discipleship to which we are called, following the teachings of Jesus Christ in service and spreading the Good News.

Vatican II

On its 50th anniversary, this video is an introduction to the Second Vatican Council which focuses on issues teenagers find important: worship in the vernacular, lay ministry, positive relationships with non-Catholic Christians, the sinfulness of antisemitism, human dignity/freedom of conscience/religious freedom, and openness to non-Christian religions. While it does not deal with many significant issues addressed by the council, it is hoped this video will prompt young adults to learn more about Vatican II.
