Archbishop Ryan High School
Equipping Saints for life in this world and the next

An Update From Mr. Christopher Mominey ~ June 12, 2017

June 12, 2017
Dear Members of the Archbishop Ryan Community-
As the school year comes to a close we now turn our attention to the future of Archbishop Ryan High School.  With the announcement made last week by Denise LePera, I wish to assure the community that the Archdiocese and the local school board will be working together on a search for the next president of the school.  Our goal is always to find a top leader that possesses the right mix of Catholic identity, growth mindset and passionate dedication to secondary education.  In fact, through other channels and because of our proactive approach to talent management, we have already begun to receive and evaluate letters of interest from potential candidates.
Our process for selecting a new president is locally driven.  In the next several days I will be calling the board together so that we can identify an interview committee and begin to build a candidate profile that fits the needs of Ryan at this critically important time.  With the background support of my office, our talent management division and HR division will immediately begin to provide the committee with viable candidates and interviews will take place soon after.  Once finalists are recommended to the full board and a candidate selected, we will work collaboratively to approve the new president for appointment.
While I recognize that we have an ambitious timeline ahead of us, I wish to assure you that we will only move ahead with an appointment when we feel confident we have found the ideal candidate for Archbishop Ryan.  In the interim, the Office of Catholic Education will be working closely with the local administrative team and the board to assure that we are ready for the opening of school in September.  Enrollment, academic, and financial efforts in preparing for that opening will be closely monitored at all levels.
As always, I thank you for your dedication to the current students of Archbishop Ryan and your enthusiastic support of the entire school community.  I ask for your prayers as we enter into this process over the summer months.
Peace and all good things,
Christopher Mominey
